Wine Country is Back and Better Than Ever
Since March of 2020, Coronavirus brought fine dining and tourism to a sudden halt. That meant a year and a half of limbo for the restrauteurs and employees in Sonoma. Now, there is a sense of optimism roaring through the area.
Chef Kyle Connaughton of Vero Water client and three-Michelin starred restaurant, SingleThread is bullish on the return to fine dining. He says it has been the busiest they have ever been at SIngleThread.
Charter Oak, another Vero Water client in wine country, is also fully booked. This more casual, but still high-end restaurant has made the decision to only keep the restaurant open five days a week in order to keep a work-life balance for the entire team. They would have the restaurant fully booked 7 days a week if they were open, but decided against it in order to avoid overworking their staff.
There's a new energy making its way across wine country. A great thing to see over the summer after the slowest year they have ever experienced.
