Outdoor Fine-Dining Solutions with Upscale NYC Newcomer, Silver Apricot

COVID has brought some changes to the fine-dining industry. With a greater focus on outdoor dining, Emmeline Zhao, partner and sommelier at a new Vero client and NYC fine dining spot, speaks on how her team has transformed and innovated to meet today's outdoor eating needs. Although many restaurants' outdoor dining experiences in the city may feel similar to takeout, the Silver Apricot team made sure to make their new restaurant's outdoor experience feel exceptional.

When cultivating and curating the outdoor fine dining experience in New York City, she made sure to include what she would personally want from the experience. as a guest That meant great quality glassware and silverware. It was important to take into account the ideas and input from the entire diverse Silver Apricot team. Each individual's input added to the guest experience throughout these unprecedented times. 

For the buildout itself, Zhao, as a self-described "big bargain hunter," worked on most of it on their own. The Silver Apricot team only hired contractors to build the structure itself. The remainder of the beautiful outdoor experience was created by their own team. From purchasing flowers in the New York flower district for their planters, to walking around town to find the best way to make barriers, the restaurant's team worked hard to cultivate this great experience for their guests. 

Silver Apricot is a new West Village restaurant by Chef Simone Tong and General Manager Emmeline Zhao. The restaurant's mission is to share the story of Chinese-Americans today. The restaurant showcases the past and future of Chinese-American food in NYC. They hope is that the restaurant "evokes a sense of belonging for all who enter, through our food and beverage, hospitality, and storytelling." The restaurant features dishes using local ingredients and of course, Vero Water. We at Vero Water are happy to welcome Silver Apricot to the Vero family!
